CM mourns Union Minister Dave’s demise

ITANAGAR, May 18: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed grief over the demise of Union Minister for Environment and Forest and veteran BJP leader, Anil Madhav Dave, who breathed his last on Thursday.
Born on 6 July, 1956, Anil Dave was involved in social work right from his early days and had founded the NGO ‘Narmada Samagra’ for conservation of rivers. A post-graduate in Commerce from Gujarati College in Indore, late Dave had keen interest in literature and has penned a number of books.
In a condolence message to Secretary Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ajay Narayan Jha, Pema said that the two-time Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh, Dave was known in the BJP as a man gifted with immaculate organisational skills.
‘His passion towards conservation and survey of flora and fauna of India, prevention and control of pollution and land degradation mitigation will always be a hallmark of his contribution towards a green, healthy and carbon sink nation’, Pema wrote. (CMO)
