Fire service week concludes

ITANAGAR, Apr 20: The Fire Service Week from April 14 to 20 concluded with a valedictory function at Bunny Fantasy World School here, on the theme “Fireman- your partner for saving life and property” on Thursday.
The week was observed under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Kime Aya.
During the week, fire awareness programmes and demonstration on LPG fire, oil fire, rescue drill and do’s and don’ts were organized by the resource persons, including Itanagar Fire Station Officer in-charge, Koj Taro and LFM Yomgam Likar at various locations, including Gandhi Market, Gohpur Tinali, Eleazer English school, Niti- Vihar and Hotel Donyi Polo Ashok.
Taro also highlighted the aims and objectives of the Fire Service Week and suggested the general public, particularly building owners to keep at least minimum required fire safety equipments at their disposal as per government guidelines in order to minimize loss of life and property.
