ROING, May 18: A summer mega dance workshop was conducted by the ‘Royal J Crew’, an upcoming local dance group, under the guidance of choreographers Rahul Das, Rohan Rai and Vicky Yadav, who had arrived from Guwahati and Tinsukia for the workshop.
Organisor of the workshop, Somit Mena said that the main motto of the workshop is to encourage the youth to participate in the field of dance, and to motivate them to adopt good habits, discipline and most importantly, to say no to drugs and alcohol.
During the workshop, the participants, mainly children from class 5 to 12, were trained on various dance forms and were counselled about how they could turn their hobby into a professional career, said Mena.
Attending the battle round of the workshop at the Multipurpose Hall, Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Deepak Shinde appreciated the organisers for the creative programme which he hoped would keep the youth occupied during their summer break.
