‘Philanthropic will needed for TAH to materialize’

ZIRO, Jan 10: Commissioner GA/DA and Education, Hage Kojeen said that a philanthropic will is required from the denizens of Lower Subansiri district for Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) to see the light of the day. He was speaking in the meeting of HoDs convened at the conference Hall of a hotel in Hapoli on Tuesday.
“Good connectivity in terms of road and air will propel the economy of this area. Local officers should mobilise and motivate the public and land owners to relax land compensation claims for speedy implementation of the projects,” he added while referring to the delayed TAH construction and civilian terminal project at ALG, Ziro.
He also took stock of various infrastructural projects and flagship programmes and schemes under various departments. Emphasizing on the need to improve work culture amongst people, he directed HoDs to strictly adhere to biometric attendance for the staff. Later, he also interacted with the officials of education department and took stock of various projects and flagship programs. (DIPRO)

  1. Instead of maintenance why don’t use the money for double lane road would be much better than single lane road.

Commissioner sir, you are very right.. because of adamant and no sacrifice approach of land affected people we the people of L/subansiri,U/subansiri, Kurungkime and Karadadi ditricts are suffering. These land affected people themselves and their fellow denizens including their near and dear ones are suffering. If these land owners realise and claim genuine compensation sacrificing inflated claims, then only we can see the ray of light.

  3. We are moving towards dark age in terms road sector. Improvement of road is snail face. The road maintenance is vanishing day by day but road user are increasing on daily basis. Local officer contribution towards road sector is negligible. Is it so difficult to built a good road in AP territory when other part of country having much difficult terrain are improve lot with state of art technology.
