Probe will clear the air

Congress party is relentlessly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Birla-Sahara diary case. Led by party vice-president Rahul Gandhi the grand old party is picking up the issue even at the cost of own party colleague and former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. The diaries contain corruption allegation against several politicians including the then Gujarat CM and present PM of India, former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. Ms Dikshit who was believed to have privately expressed dismay over move of Congress finally toed party line and targeted PM.
She asked PM to go for an independent probe into the ‘Sahara-Birla’ papers and questioned why PM is shying away from a probe. Several other opposition leaders including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal have been calling for investigation into the allegation. BJP is steadfastly depending PM and has termed the allegations as wild. The wily old Congress party is trying its best to make best use of opportunity to paint BJP and in particular PM in wrong way. The Birla Sahara papers have even came up in Supreme Court and the apex court is expected to take it up on January next. Though it is an allegation but office of PMO is getting targeted in the process. Also it is causing slight dent in the image of PM and BJP. Before it does more damages the central government should consider going for a probe. Such move will check-mate the Congress party and if PM comes out clean in the probe, his rating will further go up.
