Wildlife cartooning workshop organized

ITANAGAR, Jan 10: Over 50 students from in and around Tippi-Bhalukpong area participated in a day long wildlife cartooning workshop at Nature Interpretation Centre, Tippi Wildlife Range organized by Pakke Tiger Reserve on Monday last.
Aimed at nurturing creativity as well as raising their awareness about wildlife, noted wildlife cartoonist Rohan Chakravarty was the resource person for the workshop. Creator of cartoon series ‘Green Humour’, Rohan involved the students in fun filled interactive session and shared information related to the rich biodiversity, wildlife and related conservation issues in a simplified manner.
RFO Tippi Wildlife Range, Kime Rambia briefed the students on how cartoons are being used nowadays to convey messages in a humorous or satirical way and how cartooning can be taken up as a hobby or as serious career choice.
EAC Bhalukpong Tamo Riba also spoke.
